The Rochester Rotary bestowed the Paul Harris Fellow Award to a Rochester native,  journalist James Foley who was captured by ISIS in 2013 and executed in 2014. The award acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Diane was presented the award by Dr. Walter Hoerman. Diane Foley educated the group of her deceased son's James W. Foley Legacy Foundation. A foundation that advocates for the release of American hostages, safety for journalists in conflict areas, and to empower disadvantaged youth through education. It was an honor to have her as our speaker on Monday.
